or your home or organization. Check out the schedule page for a current list of events. Please call or email cathy@feedingthewholefamily.com for more information or to book.

One Hour Talks:

Feeding the Young Athlete

In this talk we discuss: how food provides energy; ideas for pre-game/competition meals and snacks, post-game/competition meals and snacks; why hydration is so important and what are the best choices. This is great information for active families, schools and teams.

Strong Body, Healthy Minds

This talk is targeted at school age children and their parents. It is essentially a healthy eating talk for kids that emphasizes strength and smarts, rather than eating broccoli. It gets kids thinking about the relationship food has to the way they feel and the spin is being stonger and smarter rather than healthier. It is a simple shift that gets great results.

Whole Food Demystified

In this talk we take the confusion out of healthy eating. What is whole food and how can it be incorporated into a busy modern day family? Simple tips and strategies for everyone.

Hormones, Health and Happiness

This talk is for every woman, but is specifically targeted at those who are 40+ and want to learn strategies for feeling and looking their best by balancing blood sugar and hormones.

Scrambling to put together last minute lunches? Need ideas for brain food?
Learn what should and should not be included in a school lunch for optimum performance. In this workshop we prepare quick, easy and healthy lunches and snacks that kids and their parents will love. You will

Whole Food Sports Nutrition for Kids

Whether you have elite athletes or just active kids, by following some simple whole food sports nutrition guidelines, it is possible that an individual athlete or an entire team can find a whole new level of play. And as a bonus, teaching kids about how to fuel and nourish their bodies at a young age will improve both their performance and lifelong eating habits. In this class we will:  learn how food provides energy; gather ideas for pre-game/competition meals and snacks, post-game/competition meals and snacks; learn why hydration is so important and what are the best choices; review my top nutrient-dense superfood choices; and prepare simple, tasty, high-performance meals, snacks and drinks to fuel your young athletes. Sample Whole Food Sports Nutrition for Kids Menu.

The Healthy Vegetarian

Learn the basics of a balanced vegetarian diet including how and where to get adequate protein, calcium, iron, B12, essential fatty acids, etc. then create a yummy, hearty vegetarian meal that even meat-eaters will love.

The Healthy Vegetarian Teen

For teens curious about the vegetarian diet, we will review the benefits and cautions in choosing a vegetarian lifestyle, then team up with mom or dad to create a wonderful vegetarian feast. We also cover easy ways to incorporate balanced vegetarian meals into a meat-eating household. Please note, teens
are welcome to come on their own if they prefer.

Superfoods = Super Nutrition

There are so many amazing nutrition-packed superfoods out there today, but which ones are right for you? I will attempt to demystify, review my favourites and show you how to incorporate them into your everyday meals.
