Cathy’s Profile

After 20+ years in the corporate communications industry as a graphic designer and creative director, Cathy reinvented herself as a holistic nutritionist. She has always been an advocate of healthy living, but it wasn’t until her son was born that nutrition came to the forefront of her family’s life. Her son had multiple allergies and sensitivities, as well as eating challenges that led her in a search for help and more information. This search brought her to the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition. Thinking initially that this course would simply help her deal with her family’s challenges, she soon realized that this is what she was meant to do. Her experiences would help others. Her son continues to be her biggest teacher. His issues with food have been challenging but have educated her and brought about many positive changes to her family’s nutrition and to other families as well.

However, while working with women to optimize the health of their families, she noticed that many of these women were not taking care of themselves and has shifted her practice to address this. It’s not just about the family now. More specifically it’s about educating women and their families. In addition to her family nutrition packages, Cathy has created women’s specific packages and workshops to address the gap she sees in women’s health.  These packages and workshops will educate women on how to take care of themselves so that so that they are able to properly take care of their families.

Cathy truly believes in the healing power of a whole foods diet and her practice is built around that philosophy. She provides her clients with simple ideas for healthy food that not only taste great, but that also supports their health and the health of their family. She shows her clients what to eat and how to easily implement any necessary changes through custom menu planning, quick and tasty recipes, how-to demos, cooking classes and healthy shopping tours. She focuses on keeping the process very simple. Because of this, Cathy’s clients are inspired and recieve her ultimate support and an individualized, step-by-step, easy-to-follow plan, that suits their tastes, lifestyle and specific health concerns.
